All City Council & Meaningful Student Engagement Collaborative - 2012 Oakland Youth Vote Forum

When: October 23rd, 3:45pm to 6:45pm

Where: Castlemont High School, 8601 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland, CA, 94605

All City Council (ACC) high school student leaders will host this year's youth forum with front-runners in the City Council and School Board Directors race. For the past several years, All City Council has taken the initiative to bring Oakland student together to bring the student voice to our City's election. For All City Council student leaders, Oakland’s Youth Vote 2012 is the next best thing to an actual vote. They’ve worked diligently over the past three years to elevate student solutions to the problems in our schools and city. Through this event, student leaders hope to 1) build a relationship with those candidates who will support them in years to come, and 2) influence the voters on election day to vote for the students’ choice, and really make their voice count. Over 200 students are expected to attend from Meaningful Student Engagement high school leadership classes, as well as community based youth leadership groups.

Meet Dan and other candidates. This is an especially good forum to attend if you are a senior in high school or just graduated earlier this year.
