DAN KALB’s
Nov. 2022 Voting Recommendations
(For local Ballot Measure and State Propositions recommendations, click here!)
Governor – GAVIN NEWSOM
U.S. Senate – ALEX PADILLA – Strong voice in the U.S. Senate for Democratic values.
Lt. Governor – ELENI KOUNALAKIS
Secretary of State – SHIRLEY WEBER – Excellent Sec. of State and all-around strong leader.
Attorney General – ROB BONTA – Rob is doing an excellent job as our A.G., and he will continue to do so when we vote to keep him in office. From reducing gun violence and fighting human trafficking to protecting reproductive rights and holding corporate polluters accountable, Rob is and will be the strong, strategic and progressive law enforcement official we need in our state. His opponent is a staunch conservative who will take us backwards. Rob deserves re-election. See more here.
State Controller – MALIA COHEN – I have full confidence that Malia will lead the Controller’s office effectively and with proactive, strategic attention to environmental and economic justice. She has been serving as an elected member of the State Board of Equalization and is well-prepared to become our next State Controller.
State Treasurer – FIONA MA
CA Insurance Commissioner – RICARDO LARA
State Superintendent of Public Instruction – TONY THURMOND – Tony holds one of the most challenging jobs in our state. First and foremost, they don’t get sincerer and more genuine than Tony Thurmond. He has a steadfast desire to make our public education system better for all children—particularly those most in need. Check out his website for his list of accomplishments and his plan going forward.

Loren Taylor (rank #2) • Treva Reid (rank #2)
